Our initial note, upon smelling directly from the bottle, was “salami and ski wax”.  Then, once we realized we were actually smelling the bottle, we poured out into some glasses and started again.  Basically, this is an exceptionally beautiful whisky.  Very well-balanced, with lots of delicious peat, along with dark brown sugar-sweetness. Possibly candy bracelets. Very elegant.  No wonder they keep winning the awards.
